Kroger No Longer Doubles Coupons

As of May 12, Kroger will accept manufacturer’s coupons at face value, ending their practice of doubling coupons up to $0.50. From now on, they will be using the money to lower prices on all of their products, so every customer who shops there can save more.

Kroger is the closest grocery store to me, and it is within walking distance. So, despite the change in policy I will continue to shop there. Although I may limit my coupon use to ones with a face value of $1 or more, and use my other coupons at stores that continue to double. Does this policy change affect your shopping habits?

I started this blog because most money-saving blogs are written by mothers, especially stay-at-home. I do not fit this bill, but I want to save money, and share with others how I do it.
